Early start as we needed to get out and through customs early and on to Catherine's Palace which is about a hours drive out of the city.
Stunning palace both inside and out , a lot of work has gone into restoring it since it was set fire to in WWII .

Amber is my favourite stone so to see a whole room covered in it was brilliant but you could not take pics in there.

This evening we went to see our 1st Ballet , Swan Lake .Talking to people afterwards it was a rather a good one to see as our first . Great show the dance of the cygnets was the best bit for me.
