Escaping!

Happy 15th Birthday to the teenager. She’s had a great day I think. Lots and lots of books as gifts.

I offered the choice of party or present and she chose a party so she is currently inside an escape room trying to escape an alien abduction with her three best friends. I can hear them as they do it! It’s hilarious!

I’ve been reflecting on my life as a mum. It is literally all I have ever wanted to do with my life’. If we hadn’t had fertility issues I would have kept on going!

I think it’s because my own parents were awful and I wanted to prove that the pattern could be broken. If I’d grown up now instead of in the 90s I would have been taken into care.

My dad isn’t a bad dad. He just wasn’t around. I didn’t meet him until I was 17. I don’t think he would have left me with my mum if he had realised what was on. My mum had her own issues. I’m pretty stable mentally compared to her!
