Sea Wood dinosaur

We walk past this old tree trunk on our walk and it always looks like a smiling dinosaur to me Someone has popped in a bottle top to create an eye, so they obviously  see it too.

Still warm but perhaps a bit cooler today. ( is 23 degrees classed as cool?) As always a nice meander along the paths in Sea wood. The paths are strewn with dead leaves, mostly ash which is a sad sign as many ash trees are dying because of disease rather than hot weather.  It will be a shame if they all go in this wood as there are a lot of them. Some have reached spectacular heights  and must  be very old.
As always, it was very quiet, yet just down the road there are hundreds of cars parked... alongside the icecream  van and cafe.  Nice to get away from the crowds.

Back home and I took advantage of the warmth to wash the kitchen floor.  Then decided to mow the lawn.  Got too hot to do anymore in the garden but the hedge does need trimming. Next week perhaps when it gets cooler
