Puddles

Puddles have been an unusual sight recently, what with our late summer, early September heatwave.

Any thoughts I may have had about going out for walk on Sunday afternoon were put on hold as the sky grew steadily darker, almost by the minute, and then the heavens opened with a heavy and persistent downpour. It eased up after a while, replaced by pulses of heavy rain and intermittent breaks.

I took this photo when walking back to my car after attending a church service in Cumbernauld Village on Sunday evening. It was my only photo of the day.
