King of the Castle

A lovely day with our friends Mo and Phil and their dog Archie (blipped).

After meeting them at the caravan park in Sandsend where they are staying we walked the dogs along the beach to the village itself.

Then we walked through Mulgrave Woods to the old castle. This is Archie in the castle ruins looking out as if he owns the place.

We've been to Sandsend many times but never been to the woods. It was a lovely contrast to the bustling, tourists on the beach to walk through quiet woodland with no people.

Then rather than walking back across the beach which was another couple of miles we got the bus. This was fine for Mo and Phil with their bus passes but I need fell off the bus when the driver asked me for £3.40 for two of us for what was a 5 minute bus drive.

By the time we returned to the caravan Jasper and Archie were two very happy but very tired dogs.
