Family Sunday walk

The grandchildren always protest at having to do the Sunday walk, but are fine as soon as we set off.  We took a different route today, more into the countryside.  Well what used to be nothing but countryside apart from a few farmhouses and one or two cottages.  Now there are hardly any parts that have not been taken over by new house building. 

However on the route we took today there was this field containing cows, and further along, a much larger field with a lots of sheep.  I'm glad the bull was on the other side of a gate as it didn't look as though it wanted to have its photo taken and I hadn't noticed the calf beside it.   We moved on quickly after taking the shot.. Just as we arrived back at the house, it began to rain.  I guess the good weather is over.
