…fire station

a modern take

for the city

well, i had no clue - i had thought this - building was totally empty - you know, one of the - many buildings around the - city which end up - discarded and sitting by - the wayside because there’s - just so much inventory

and so there i was - outside this structure snapping - some photos and a couple - men come out the doors - startling me since i - thought said building was empty - but there they were - checking to see if - i was okay because i - had inadvertently parked - my car in a zone - where i shouldn’t have - (this happened to be - one of those days - i was driving my car - up and down the road - as much as my - eye spasming allows me to do - which is like 5 minutes - in each direction - enough to give me - a taste of freedom)

anyway these men - after i told them i was fine - informed me the building - wasn’t empty but was - actually a city fire station - built ‘green’ and as i - looked more closely - i could see the - solar panels up top - but it just amazed me - because i never would’ve - guessed it housed such - a wonderful service oriented - organization at all - just goes to show - how looks can be - deceiving and we /i shouldn’t - judge in that fashion - not when it comes - to a building or - a car or least - of all another human

do you judge - do you view something - then are surprised - at the reality of what you’ve seen - or perhaps heard - maybe we/i should - take another look - what am i/we missing - that could make it…
