Flyovers

We were up and off early to Newcastle Airport this morning to see son no 3 off to Spain. He and I were a both rather anxious (Mr P was his usual chilled self) but we arrived in plenty of time and even managed coffees. Once we’d said our goodbyes (I’ll really miss him) and were leaving the airport, the Red Arrows flew right over us. I have to say it was pretty spectacular! Sadly I didn’t grab my mobile soon enough to take a closer pic. I presume that it was part of the Great North Run. We headed into a quiet Newcastle (think they were all watching the Run) to visit The Biscuit Factory . The Gallery itself is definitely worth a visit and we had a delicious lunch on the rooftop terrace. It clouded over and then started raining on the journey home but it was dry when we got back to Peebles. Mr P got straight down to watching more rugby. He’s been glued to the World Cup so far. The house feels very quiet without Joe.
