A roving we will go ....

We take turns at our u3a craft group to lead the sessions and it is my turn tomorrow for the first meeting after the summer break.  I'm going to be introducing my fellow members to the joys of needle felting.  

To this end I've gathered roving wool ( dyed and undyed; a mixture of merino and corriedale), felting mats (which came from different kits I've bought) and a selection of needles (two per person and some spares in case of breakages). 

I am going to demonstrate making owls and in the best "Blue Peter" tradition I have prepared a few a different stages to help with the demonstrations. 

All I need to do now is add so plasters as the needles and sharp ......
