Super ...
... blipmeet!
We are currently vacationing in Seattle ...
And prior to coming out here we had arranged a blipmeet with JohnSmilley1321. Today was the day!
We met John at the Audubon birdloop at Marymoor Park. And had a fabulous day walking, talking and photographing anything and everything. Blipmeets are one of the most incredible things about being a member of this amazing community.
I'm posting this out of order and I will probably post a collage as an Extra at some point once we get home. But I simply had to post this selfie of John and me now.
Thank you, John, for a lovely time and for the most thoughtful gifts. I absolutely love all the Seahawks items! And have already have some of the yummy cherries. Go Seahawks and Mariners!
Note and Extra added later in December: This park was not only for walkers and birdwatchers like us but also includes an off-leash dog park. And boy, were there a lot of dogs! My Extra collage includes just two of my favorites. The cute little corgi wasn’t so sure about being in the water and kept looking up at her person for reassurance. The other dog had no problems whatsoever with playing in the water.
After our walk through Marymoor Park we all met up again at Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in for lunch. Richard and I split a sandwich as they were huge! It was soon time to part ways with John but we really had a lovely time together.
From the restaurant Richard and I stopped back at the hotel before driving to Wilburton Hill Park to check out the lovely gardens. While there we saw the mule deer pictured in the lower left photo. They were munching on some apples that were thrown there by someone. This must be a regular occurrence as they were very comfortable around all the people.
We had dinner at the hotel and then later went back to the Lake Sammamish dock area for the sunset.
What a great day we had! Blipmeets are the best thing since sliced bread!
Extra backblipped: December 4 … yes, December! And it’s about time, too!
