Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Easter?

Today's blip took me rather by surprise as one of my pasque flowers has decided it is the right time to flower. It's one of my favourites, I love the colour so I'm happy to see it.
This morning I did a quick run to Eskbank and back to drop off some things for next week's Cursillo.
This thing last year we were holding one and it started with the news that the queen had died. In 2021, during the final service, I am was on birth partner standby. I'm hoping for fewer excitements this year .
Ali and Josie were here when I got back. Ali has sinusitis so we were able to look after Josie while Ali had a rest, not much looking after was done actually as Josie had her afternoon nap and slept for two and a half hours.
I persuaded Ali to phone NHS24 and she ended up with an appointment at the Western General out of hours service a few hours later resulting in a packet of anti-biotics, and a ticking off from the Dr she saw who said she should have contacted them sooner. As Ali said, our NHS is wonderful when it works as it should.
Her husband is away tonight so she and Josie are having a sleep over here.
