An absolute steaming day

It was 30 degrees when we went to bed last night and I didn’t expect a good night. I woke about 4am and looked out to a 10 yard visibility, couldn’t see across the road. By the time I woke again at 9 am it was a clear blue sky.

Shortening the new curtains for my sewing room was the priority for today. It has taken ages as they are very well made. Bought on line from John Lewis, an easy selection when I saw the William Morris Strawberry Thief. 

I haven’t quite finished, but England are playing Argentina in the Rugby World Cup, so that has taken priority. The game is a bit nerve racking, rubbish start but is now taking off with the drop goals !!!!!!
