Juvenile Guillemot
There were two of these youngsters just paddling about in the harbour trying to keep out of the way of surfers and paddle boarders. It has yet develop the fine features and ultra smooth plumage of the adult bird. The extra photo of the adult guillemot I took on May Isle at the beginning of the summer.
We drove to Anstruther to search for their ‘Scottie by the Sea’ …. not hard to miss as it was right in front of the marina. Titled ‘Coastal Wildlife of Fife’ and there right on Scottie’s right foreleg there is a colony of Guillemots painted by Yolande Kenny. I just had to include a picture of the whole Scottie complete with comical Puffins.
