Ivy Visitors 9

Top of the ivy league today, the central image, is a blood bee. Though these are quite common I've never photographed one before. Not sure which it is but it's quite tiny. Maybe a furry-bellied blood bee.

The first flower has opened on the big ivy bush so I'm hoping for lots of visitors. I remember photographing them over ten years ago and one could hear the bush buzzing from a distance. Definitely not so many bugs about now.

Today's visitors include a box bug nymph, a stretch spider, an ichneumon wasp, a couple of Mirids and some flies. Interesting that the fly bottom right has a mite on its abdomen.

PS Thanks to gen2 for pointing out that bottom left is a dock bug nymph, not a box bug nymph.
