Eye Vs. Camera?

A REAL emergency.  I had a few things on my mind, resulting in one photo, which I utilised, by taking a second shot by flash.  I took this, basically to show A. N. Other that it wasn't a Serviette Ring.
      By eye it's still newly polished and silver coloured, by camera, even using flash, it's starting to look tarnished already.

The reality of the emergency?  I'd shot dammall all day and did this just before midnight to qualify.  I located, today, (just for my record) why the Lecky died.  (Today Saturday) Apparently the culprit is a Kettle I've pensioned off TWICE.
