Black Bird

Went in search of the elusive kingfishers from yesterday and you can see from the blip that I didn't manage to capture them. That's not to say I didn't see them though. They were nowhere to be seen in the stretch of road I'd seen them yesterday so I was wandering up and down the coast firing off shots of this, that and the other - until the camera battery died for the day. Went back to the car. and headed for home and lo and behold, about 500m down the road, sitting on a branch on the edge of the road was a lovely bright kingfisher. I think I'll name it Murphy - he'll keep for another day.
