midwife crisis

Masks are indeed masks, I look at that photo and find it unsettling that one cannot read that I’m beaming away behind it ! Taking all precautions not to share whatever strain of Covid this one is. So grateful to be able/ allowed to travel and get home , I was the only person in a mask for the entire journey and Stansted was heaving . Mike collected me from Shannon and brought Basil who hopped on my lap and wouldn’t move :0)
See extra for me beaming with my unmasked face expressing ‘I’m so happy to be home ‘ .
It was the hottest day of the year in Ireland and I took Basil straight out for a walk because I’d missed him so much , we both had to sit under a tree to cool down after 15 mins, highly unusual !
I can feel my chest is tight and I have a croaky voice still but other than that it’s just a few waves of tiredness that pass quite soon . In between those I tidied the garden and mowed the lawn . We sat out under the sunshade to admire my work from opposite sides of the table .
