From Eagle Hawk
Echo Point in the Blue Mountains has long been "the place to go" for a spectacular view of the Jamison Valley. The parking is there, the Visitors Centre is there, the sloped and tiered wide open spaces for literally hundreds of spectators are there, along with cafes, gift shops, toilets, lecture amphitheatres etc etc.
On the other hand there is the Eagle Hawk Lookout clear across the Katoomba Falls Canyon. From there you can see a view such as the above. About six people at once can be present, there is hardly any parking, there are no facilities at all but, for all that, I think the scenic elements can be appreciated in better perspective. To the far left are the distant Three Sisters and to the right is a glimpse of Mt Solitary.
Once again I am in "historical mode", attempting to present the scene as it might have appeared in an antique railway carriage from my youth.
