A day around Solway Firth
Yesterday was a brilliant day, we drove out to the coast and travelled along the southern road next to the Solway Firth. The sun shone, there was a slight mist caused by the heat, it was quiet and just very peaceful. We parked the car and walked out across the dried out marsh to the waters edge looking across to Scotland. I was surprised to see the cattle walking along the beach; there appeared to be many more than there actually was- the reflections from the distance adding to the numbers.
We wondered what it might look like in stormy weather and thought we might come back to the area in early December well wrapped up.
