A rather misty day in comparison to yesterday so off for a look at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2022 in The Scottish National Portrait Gallery before it closes on Sunday. The winner of the prize was Clémentine Schneidermann for the series Laundry Day. The socially distanced portraits of the series were taken during times of quarantine, self-isolation, and national lockdowns. In the words of the artist, they “document micro events which deal with the passage of time through the small moments of our daily lives”. Sounds a bit like Blipfoto...
I recorded a small moment of my daily life during my visit to the Portrait Gallery with an image of an unknown man taking a keen interest in Ken Currie's painting "Unknown Man" which is a portrait of the forensic anthropologist Professor Dame Sue Black, Baroness Black of Strome.
