Woodland Walk

Head down this morning before a friend came over to go for a wee walk in the woods.

Then it was home to get everything ready for my markets (Balerno tomorrow and Whitmuir on Sunday. 

Then it was into Edinburgh to spend a few hours with my friend, his family and some of our old friends. He doesn't have long left (bowel cancer) and his brother has come over from Australia, his other brother and parents have come up from down South. His wife and daughters were there and a few other old faces. Whilst a sad occasion to be gathering it was great to see everyone and there was a lot of laughter - exactly what he wanted (we were told strictly no sympathy or tears before meeting!). 

Then it was back home to pack the car before it was completely dark - it had been too hot for the candles etc to do it earlier.
