Altaire LK429

The mighty Altaire carrying out some sort of trials in Bressay Sound late this afternoon. It did a couple of trips from its berth towards the Bressay Lighthouse where it turned (not quite a wheelie - see extra) and headed back to the harbour.  While no longer 100% Shetland owned it is still the major player in the Shetland fleet.

Another glorious day of weather which resulted in the hottest ever recorded September day for Shetland of 22.1° with the previous highest being 20.4° in 1958.
