Today's the day ...................... before the adventure

My old friend, former student-colleague at Hull University and one-time blipper BKeeper arrived this afternoon after a hot and sticky journey from the Isle of Man, where he lives.

Tomorrow, he will very kindly transport me down south to Cheshire, where we will join the rest of the gang - and we will spend the next week on a canal.  The exact route to be taken has not quite been decided as yet (!) - but followers of this journal will know it used to be a regular annual occurence until Covid messed things up a bit.

It's usually pretty difficult to blip en route in the normal way because of lack of signal etc - so I think this time I will just use my phone.  Wherever we go, it's bound to be an adventure .......................!
