The end of the line

The Ffestiniog Railway was built to transport slate from the quarries at Blaenau Ffestiniog to the harbour at Porthmadog.

The branch to Llechwedd Quarry now has the Glanypwll carriage sheds. The end of the line is where there was a bridge over the Afon Barlwyd.
