Rita the Rock Planter

This is the second troll by sculptor Thomas Dambo to grace the state of Colorado. The first one is in Breckenridge (installed in the woods there in 2017). This one was completed in the small gold mining town of Victor in August, 2023. It is made of 100% recycled wood and is about 20 feet tall!
Here is the poem the sculptor wrote about her.
"100 suns - that is how long a nap is for a troll.
When Rita woke, her mountainside had grown a hole!
The humans must have dug them in search of shiny rocks.
Someone could fall in, so Rita went to tidy up."
