So many of these in the garden over the past few days! We have deliberately left some patches of nettles food plants for caterpillars, so maybe that has helped to swell their population.

Some thunder this morning and a brief spell of rain, which freshened things up for a while. It's been very humid. I was actually dripping with sweat when Jess and I returned from our forest walk.

This evening I embarked on a new venture as a member of the committee of the Friends of Loch Arthur. The meeting was held in the cafe at Beeswing after hours.
