The morning after
Many thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts on my blip yesterday. We've only just got home this evening so I've had no time to reply or comment but I'll catch up tomorrow.
Nothing was going to top the day we had yesterday which was simply superb. However, we had tickets for the Berthe Morisot Exhibition at the Dulwich Picture Gallery, so headed off there. She was unusual in being a successful female Impressionist, and was married to Eugène Manet, the brother of the artist Édouard Manet. It is the first exhibition of her work in the UK since 1950 and was interesting, showing the influences she took from other artists but also how they were influenced by her own work. We were lucky to be in London in time to see the exhibition as it closes this weekend.
A long and very hot day, but another enjoyable one.
