Stuck

There was a huge amount of work going on at Burton today as the staff and site volunteers cleared reeds and other vegetation from in front of the visitors centre . This meant that there were no birds at all on the main scrape for most of the afternoon which was a shame but it is a necessary job.. 

One of the volunteers got stuck in the mud and it took ages to free him. In the end he had to dig himself out by scooping away the mud but it amused him and his co-workers as well as the people in the visitors centre.  

The extra is a swallow (bird 99) which I surprisingly haven't blipped yet.
