Seeking the shade

Another scorcher of a day today - I had to shorten Xena's walk as it was just too hot and we had to seek shade in the woods.

It has been a busy day as I had an osteopathy appointment again, I am now going once every 3-4 weeks although I could go once a week as I still have such lower back pain and tightness in the surrounding muscles. I was home for lunch then went to the hairdresser - it takes a long time as my hairdresser is about 30 minutes from where I live. I only got home late as I had to go back into the village after the hairdresser to go to Waitrose to collect a click and collect parcel.

Back home I quickly packed - it's a short trip to Seville to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and the weather will be constantly hot for our visit so it was easy to pack, just some summery dresses. The thing about this hot weather is you do see a lot of exposed flesh on display that in some cases I would rather not see, so I tried to pack appropriate clothing that is also cool - you cannot go into cathedrals wearing skimpy clothing (not that I would wear that anymore at my age!)

It has been many years since we did a city mini break, and we are looking forward to it. I chose Seville as it is a city I have always wanted to visit, with its beautiful architecture and hopefully good Spanish food. It is a 6am early morning flight from Gatwick tomorrow so we will be leaving home horribly early.
