Hot dog in a field

Back to school for Ben.
Early, hot walk for Leo.
Meeting and more heat.

We had a shocking night with Ben last night, he was really disruptive, couldn't sleep in the heat and was up causing chaos til 11:20pm, (from a usual bedtime of 8:15pm). Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I are 'early to bed' people so we were not living our best lives.  He was then up at 4:50am, so what with the unbearable heat, it was not a good night's sleep.  He was then back to school, he seemed very anxious at drop off and I had a message from his teacher saying he'd had a tricky morning and the TA said he'd been wobbly when I picked him up.  So, maybe not the best first day :-/ but you have to start somewhere! I took Leo for a walk nice and early when it was still drizzling a bit here, it was still hot and we didn't stay out long.  
We had a social care meeting at lunchtime which was quite useful, talking about respite and how we can prepare for adulthood.  Now we're just hoping for a better night.  It's still very hot here though.
