Common Darter

Meant to meet a friend for tea, cake & chat but cancelled last minute, so I took myself out for a coffee & lime & coconut scone. Then went & sat at the Cammo Wetlands for a wee while with another cuppa & fruity flapjack.

Hopefully a delivery of compost today / tomorrow. Some of my pots have not been renewed for a few years. And I need to do something with motivation to garden - maybe get some more bulbs to put in the pots as lost a few this year with drying out too much.

Common darter dragonflies were sunbathing along the boardwalk & some of the dry paths either side had a few too.

There was a moorhen with one chick scurrying around the thick reeds but hard to spot with phone camera. No sign of the heron today.

Some of the trees recently planted in the new housing estate are looking like they are dying as they've not been watered, looks so sad. Even the trees right outside the new lived in houses!
