Early Morning Mountains from Christchurch
Welcome to another great day Canterbury!
I was up early so drove up Sugarloaf to capture the sun coming up over Christchurch.
The sun started hitting the Southern Alps and they looked magnificent so this is how they look from around 120kms in a straight line.
You can see the close Treeline, the mist which was starting to rise from the sun, the Mountains with snow on them and then the higher cloud.
It was as good as the photo shows and behind me was some brilliant scarlet clouds and Christchurch below with still visible lights on in a slight mist.
