Lucy Next Door, But Not For Long

Ooh, a busy and sociable day today! We spent the afternoon at the seaside at Sandsend visiting Mo and Phil, friends who are holidaying there, including a walk up to Mulgrave Woods to check out the remains of an old castle.

Then we got back home early evening, just in time to have the next door neighbours round for one last drink before they move to York next week. They've been lovely neighbours - Alison and her boys Simeon and Dominic, plus Lucy the dog - and we'll miss them. Lucy's a rehomed racing greyhound who was a bit wary when they first got her but two years on has proved to be a nice friendly dog, who gets on well with Jasper.

I think this is the first time she's been in our garden and stayed still long enough for a photo.
