Fois dhut, Bruce

Shortly after taking yesterday's blip, I passed a lady walking her dog. "Like the t-shirt", she said, as she passed me. A fellow Runrig fan had brightened my day, with a friendly comment. 

It was a sad and strange coincidence then, to learn yesterday evening that Bruce Guthro had died on Tuesday evening from cancer, at the age of just 62.

I saw Runrig many times at Newcastle City Hall and still remember vividly the first time Bruce took the stage. He really was a fantastic addition to the band. 

And, for the record, comparing Bruce and Donnie is as pointless as comparing Islay malt and Guinness, as far as I'm concerned - they're both fantastic!
