Catching Some Rays

Warmest day of the year so far, but the weather broke late on this afternoon and we had our first rain for, well, days probably. There's that distantly familiar smell of dried earth being wet for the first time in a while mixing with the whiff of Saturday night barbecues.

Slathered on some factor 20 and cycled from one end of the county to the other (it's the 'Wee County', so no biggie) to scout out some new subjects for photographing. Wasn't feeling inspired and was almost back home when this appeared. Familiar territory, reliable subjects. Last photo I took that was.
