Sunset at the Heritage Loch
We visited my cousin in the care home this afternoon. We took May with us, who is a friend of Lilias of long standing but had not seen her for a long time. She was understandably a bit shocked when she saw Lilias, and Lilias sadly did not remember her.
However, between us we managed some conversation and a few laughs. It was very hot in the lounge, and the assistant brought an ice cream to Lilias, but obviously not for us. They did give us some orange juice which was very welcome in the heat.
We were the only visitors in the lounge, and we provided entertainment for the ten or so other residents who were all listening to our conversation. It was a bright spot in their day, I think.
After dinner we walked at the loch. We are rarely there so late, and I was surprised how busy it was. During the day it is older people like us who frequent it, along with mothers with prams and toddlers, and the odd runner. However, it was very busy with runners and cyclists, I imagine out after work. Nice to see.
And I caught some nice sunset pictures!
