W-I-D-E on Wednesday: (Not much) Water (as yet)

This new housing estate has recently taken over another local farmer's field - which seems a shame but I guess people do need somewhere to live. At least the developers dug quite a large pond at the lowest point of it with a big land drain running into it - and some quite healthy reeds are growing at the edges of it. However, although the "pond" has been there now for about 2 years, and we've had a pretty wet summer, there's not much water in it yet so we hope it does eventually fill up and provide a habitat for some waterfowl.

Anyway I hope there's enough water here to meet Bobsblips's Widwed challenge of "Water"!   :-)
