Bird Photography - the Lazy Way
After my exertions yesterday to nail the midge photo I decided to take it easy today and capture a bird at the bird feeder using my biggest lens with a doubler so effectively I end up with an image where the bird virtually fills the frame.
Luckily most of the birds are so used to our bird feeder set up that they are not put off by us sitting in our chairs just a few feet away. It was a lovely day for sitting around, just waiting for the birds to arrive. I decided not to bother to use Live View to check the manual focus and that was a bad decision as it meant that a number of shots were not sharp. This, however is one of my better ones. This, I think, is a juvenile chaffinch
