Dauner Maare

The heat is definitely sitting over the Eifel as well this week. Anyway, we managed a 14 km walk around three of the Maare the Eifel is famous for. The three Dauner Maare are all very different. The photo is of the Weinfelder Maar, just beautiful!. Across the water you can just see the Weinfelder Kitchen, a wonderful chapel.
Really glad we did this walk despite the heat. Off to have some local wine now
