The Reserves

I haven't done a film noir image for a while, so here you are.

It's not the photo I wanted to blip. That one is lost in the ether somewhere after I forgot to put the card back in the camera. I always check this, but not today apparently. Must be the heat.

I got a great shot of some cows paddling in a pool of water, to keep cool I guess. If it wasn't so hot I would have put the card in and gone back for it. Maybe an idea for another day.

It's been a busy day anyway. More admin and a visit from the gas man. Our heating has been tripping the RCD again. Of course it didn't while he was here, but at least he has changed the motor in the flow diverter valve, which he said was the most likely culprit. We shall see.

I've also been in touch with LPGSave who got us a good LPG contract price two years ago. The lady said we won't get 36p per litre again. No surprise there.

Finally I've had two conversations with BT about our broadband contract which runs out next week. Apparently if we just carry on the price will go up, but they can't say by how much. I haven't been able to get any offers from alternatives which will include a landline. No one seems to be interested in providing phone services any more. In the end I have stayed with BT, with a lesser package leaving out some of the so called benefits which were not much use really. I had to call them twice because despite telling the first guy that I'd had to buy my own modem router as theirs was so rubbish I got an email saying good news, you new router is on its way, only £9.99 delivery. I think I have managed to cancel it, but you never know really.

Camera club went well last night I think. There was a good turn out for a first night, and we didn't finish until nearly 10pm. One down 33 to go!
