Monday: Downton Charleston

The weather in Charleston is glorious and the bright blue sky shows off the town beautifully.

We drove out to Isle of Palms this morning, where we were able to swim in the ocean. We had overlooked the fact that it was Labor Day so the beach was quite busy but that didn’t take away from anything. From there, we drove to Sullivan’s Island where, in true British fashion, we had sandwiches on the beach.

We had a couple of drinks out but dinner in our accommodation again. Chicken pot pie with a glorious amount of peas.
