I can't tell you how badly I wanted to hike or kayak or something today. So much driving. I exercised indoors though because it was hot and humid. 

I also edited pictures and had an idea. I would really like to swing some money to the woman who posed for me for the UV shots. If she could pose for people up here, including a friend of mine who wants people to pose for him drawing, if she could pose for a workshop on how to do UV body paint photography, maybe she could make a bit of money.

The US says Ukraine has made progress. Ukraine has breached Russia's first defensive line near Zaporizhzhia. Ukraine cares about its people and thus is trying to manage its attacks to minimize casualties. It is working, but it is also slowing the war. 

CNN interviewed the Russian pilot who defected to Ukraine, bringing his helicopter with him. He said Ukraine will win because the people are united and the whole world is with them. 

Ukraine began constructing the Bayraktar (Turkish) drones in Ukraine. Baykar, the company that makes the drone, donated one to celebrate Ukraine's independence day in late August, plus two at the beginning of the year. There is video of one of the Bayraktar's hitting a Russian transport boat. 

There is a second Russian paramilitary group unhappy with Putin. Their leader was captured in Finland and Russia did nothing to prevent him from being extradited to Ukraine where he will be charged with terrorism. They may very well have laid down arms, helping Ukraine win a town in late August.
