River Medlock

I’m sure there are some very beautiful parts of the River Medlock but this bit, proudly labelled, round the corner from my Manchester Premier Inn is perhaps not it’s finest stretch.

I had researched several options for my evening, swimming, cinema- I got very excited when I saw the theatre showing Julian Clary in Jesus Christ Superstar but I am a week too early for that. Salford Quays not open on Mondays, no other swimming options that looked lovely, no films I wanted to see and in an area of town where entertainment was quite unobvious. I really wanted to sit in the sun, have a bit of dinner and read my book and after a while I found a good spot and did all those things. Then wandered back to my hotel, realised I had brought no knickers for tomorrow, washed my today knickers and am now watching a fine grand designs repeat.

Tomorrow, all day meeting and going home.
