Evening flock

Tim and I went and helped out with the Cairn Conservation Carers this morning :)  There were five original members, plus another volunteer, and us.  We sat with them for a planning meeting first, then we got to work on clearing brambles and tidying paths and seating areas.  All very satisfying!  (My arms are somewhat scratched now though.)

Had a much needed shower when we got back, and some lunch, then in the afternoon we met with the guy who is renovating the house that backs onto ours, to work out where exactly the boundary lies.  Quite happy with the outcome - he wants to take down the trees on the boundary and put in a new fence there, which suits us OK (sad about the trees, but they have been horribly butchered over the years - and we can plant something else to replace them).

It was another beautiful summery day, and the light was lovely again this evening.  The pigeons from across the valley (someone has a coop there) were having a good old flock at golden hour.
