The Mirror of Lac d’Aï …

… above Leysin, reflecting the Tour d’Aï (2331m) our objective for today. I have never seen this lake so calm. My Dutch friends have gone up a grade, they are absolutely fearless considering they had never done any mountaineering before! We were joined by my Japanese friend, Akemi, who had a heart ablation in the winter! She was so relieved to find her old form returning. What a great international mountain meeting (extra).
