In 1888 George Eastman received a patent for a handheld, roll film camera. It was the first of its kind and he named his company Kodak. Too hot to do much but I had to go shopping and saw this colourful display in a camera shop window and was interested to read about George Eastman and his slogan ‘you press the button, we do the rest’
