Caught in the act!

The weather was unseasonably warm today so I took advantage of it by sitting in the garden this afternoon.  Because now in September, the sun is low and our garden is more quickly in shade, I adjusted my chair and got a view that I don't always see. This pigeon arrived, keen to try and reach the bird feeders mostly hidden  by the lilac.  Being the Lancaster Bomber of birds he/she had to have several goes before rather precariously perching. I took a number of photos but this one made us smile the most.  In extras, the pigeon flies away.
