Everything Must Change . . . Nina Simone
This morning we went down to the sister in laws to look at grapevines. There are some very good eating grapes that need to be relocated. Most of the area is leased to a vegetable grower but some rows of the original grapes remain. My late brother in law liked them and did make a vintage that we drank at his daughters wedding in March this year. Now the vegetable grower is going to remove the grapes, wires and posts and grow more vegetables. The forester and another brother in law are going to relocate the eating grapes to another place on the property later this week. This will make the property manageable for sister in law.
While there we saw the extra scene. Mature apple trees are being removed presumably a newer variety will be planted. They were nice eating apples and we would gather some windfalls or steal depending on your point of view. They were delicious.
