Drop of the hard stuff

Not the best of days at the Hop Festival. We were late on owing to the previous set over running, then cut short as the next set were ready to go and started before we had time to clear our stuff away.

Not really sure why all this happened but it was highly disappointing and frustrating. Our second set was late starting too and cut short. We were expecting to be acoustic voice and uke owing to a power failure in the house where the electricity was coming from but at the last moment power was restored. At least the second set was more rewarding.

There were some very good acts around and huge crowds of people thronging the town. The Market Strummers on the main folk stage drew an appreciative crowd.

We learned some valuable lessons today. No matter how much you rehearse the songs you also have to have a technical rehearsal too so that you can be confident with the sound.

Onward and upwards…
