Bullfinch

This morning F helpd me cut my hedge.  I usually have a man to do it but he came on Bank Holiday Monday when I was out so we decided to do it ourselves.

It was a difficult job but my next door neighbour asked if we wanted to borrow her electric hedge cutter which made it much easier.

This afternoon we went for a walk along the canal at Lower Frankton.  We only saw one boat, a sign that the schools go back this week.

The trees and bushes were loaded with berries and we were pleased to see this male bullfinch on a hawthorn.  Not my best photo from the walk but I do love bullfinches.
